EXPLOSIONS
Samsung made a bunch of TV spots with Danny Glover to promote the Galaxy Note7 Edge. They pointed out the fact that he was always in action movies where things were blowing up, and that the wireless charging station for the new phone looked like a proximity mine. The joke was that all the things in Danny Glover’s life except the phone kept exploding unexpectedly.
Why don’t we make a website where the only objective is to click around and try to keep from exploding — we thought — that sounds like fun, right? So we made that website and the odds of a user exploding were really high. Things exploded a lot. And the thing that blew up was different every time (except the phone…that never went bang) but if you did make it through all of them without hitting the bomb you got a little confetti celebration. Basically mine sweeper but more slapsticky and aggressive…in a cute way.
